IN-FISHERMAN PWT PROS HIT MOBRIDGE, SOUTH DAKOTA MAY 28-30
April 30, 2008
When the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) pro anglers head to Mobridge, SD, they will search for and find all the Lake Oahe walleyes they want, according to local experts. The May 28-30 Lowrance/Berkley Pro-Am presented by Minn Kota will feature the top walleye anglers in North America. “The walleye numbers are way up,” said 25-year guide and Lake Oahe expert Denny Palmer (605-845-2877). “Five-pounders are common, and I expect some 10’s to be weighed. The guys will be setting hooks all day – this is like Oahe of old, a walleye jackpot.” Another local guide with nearly the same number of years on the water, Kerry Konold (605-845-6270) said, “The smelt and shad base is incredible, as is the water (9-feet higher than last year at the same time), and 50 to 100 fish-days are to be expected.”
